Mohair, besides cashmere, is one of the most prized natural fibers when it comes to wool yarn. Mohair is a soft and lightweight yarn made from the hair of the Angora goat. The long, thick fleece of the Angora goat produces fine, soft fibers that are spun individually and twisted together with other fibers such as wool, polyamide, and silk. Elastic and durable, mohair is the ideal fiber for adding comfort to garments and reducing felting.
